The genuine Bosch VW Distributor Cap clips to the top of the distributor and has 5 posts for the coil and 4 spark plug wires. The distributor cap fits original distributors in 1969 through 1977 Standard Beetles, 1971 through 1979 Super Beetles, 1969 through 1974 Karmann Ghias, 1969 through 1979 Type 2 Bus models, 1973 through 1974 Things and 1980 through 1985 Vanagons (through VIN 24*E*15500). The 03010 distributor cap is also used on the popular and common 009 (0 231 178 009) distributor. Please verify your distributor part number before ordering distributor parts as distributors are commonly swapped out.
